Paint line output: UPH and required cycle time
Compare the production target with the line interval and estimate the cycle needed for the required number of accepted units.
Open calculatorCalculation logic
Accepted output = planned time × A × P × Q / cycle; required cycle = planned time × A × P × Q / target output.
Worked example
An 8-hour shift with 40 minutes of planned stops leaves 26,400 seconds. At a 90-second cycle, ideal output is about 293 units before losses and quality yield.
Before using the result
Subtract planned stops from time first. A, P and Q represent unplanned downtime, reduced pace and quality; do not count the same loss twice.
